Women's Water Polo Cruises Past Connecticut College, 12-2

Providence, RI - Sophomore Caitlin Fahey (Seattle, WA) led the Bears both offensively and defensively scoring two goals and getting four steal from Camels in the 12-2 victory this evening in the Smith Swim Center. The Bears came out strong scoring four goals in the first quarter to go up 4-0 after one. With the Camels looking to make a comeback, Brown was held to one goal in the second quarter. After the halftime break the Bears exploded offensively out scoring Connecticut 7-1 in the final 14:00 of play.
Sophomore Paige Lansing (Newport Beach, CA) and freshman Alexis Blaxberg (Miami, FL) each tallied two goals in the match-up while seniors Diana Livermore (Menlo Park, CA), Evan Gill (San Diego, CA) and freshmen Sade Bonilla (Berkeley, CA), Roxanne Palmer (Los Alamitos, CA), Emily Schwartz (Miami, FL) and Ally Wyatt (Ann Arbor, MI) each tallied a goal in the victory. Sophomore Claire Angyal (Sydney, AUS), Gill and Wyatt dished out two assists while Fahey recorded four steal in the defensive end for the Bears. Freshman goaltender Anne Deggelman (Menlo Park, CA) had nine blocks and two assists in the match.
The Bears have this weekend off as they gear up for the Northern Championships at Connecticut College next weekend, April 23-24.
