Princeton, NJ - Buoyed by momentum from two big wins on Saturday, the Brown women's water polo team (9-12) coasted to an 11-4 win over George Washington to close its set of games at Princeton's DeNunzio Pool. Sophomore Lauren Presant (Poway, CA) out-scored the Colonials herself with five goals to bring her three-game weekend total to 14.
The Bears seized control of the game from the outset, taking a 3-0 lead after one quarter. They proceeded to extend that lead in each subsequent period. Sophomore Sarah Glick (Bonita, CA) was Brown's other multiple-goal scorer with three markers. Freshman Katherine Stanton (Danville, CA) had five steals, with a goal and an assist as well, while freshman Joanna Wohlmuth (Manhattan Beach, CA) drew four ejections and scored a goal.
The Bears' next game will be their first "home" contest of the season, as they will take on #14 Hartwick on Saturday at Wheaton College in Norton, Mass., at 7 p.m.
