Water Polo Cruises Past Harvard, 8-2

The women's water polo team improved to 2-2 on the season with an 8-2 win over Harvard on day one of the Brown Invitational. Freshman Allison Biner (Moraga, CA) led the Bears with two goals, while junior Jeanie Ward-Waller (San Antonio, TX) tallied four assists and three steals.

The other six Brown goals were scored by different Bears as freshman Maria DeRiggi (Sacramento, CA), sophomore Diana Livermore (Menlo Park, CA), juniors Sonia Lamel (Lafayette, CA), Lauren McGeoch (Cupertino, CA), and Jackie Parente (Los Angeles, CA), and senior Tori Barbata (Kailua, HI) each scored one goal.

Junior goalie Keira Heggie (Miami, FL) played spectacular in net, posting 13 saves. Brown continues action tomorrow, Sunday, February 23, hosting Bucknell at 11:00 a.m.
