Berkeley, CA - Down just 5-2 at the half, the Brown women's water polo team (5-12) dropped a 14-3 decision to fifth-ranked Cal-Berkeley on Sunday. The loss closed the team's five-game California trip.
"I felt this trip was very beneficial for our program," said Brown Head Coach Felix Mercado. "We played some really great teams and were able to work on a lot of things. I look forward to the month of April."
Cal opened the game by taking a 3-0 first-quarter lead, but the teams scored two goals each in the second quarter. However, the Golden Bears outscored the Bears 9-1 in the second half.
