Cambridge, MA - The Bears played spoilers this evening as they handed the Crimson a 3-2 in their home opener at Blodgett Pool. The win moves Brown, ranked sixth in the CWPA Poll, to 4-9 on the season while eighth-ranked Harvard sees its record dip to 6-5 with the setback.
After being shut out in the opening quarter, Brown quickly rebounded netting two in the second and adding one in the third. Junior Paige Lansing led the way for the Bears offensively, netting two goals while Caitlin Fahey netted one. In net sophomore Anne Deggelman tallied eight blocks.
The Bears will return to action Saturday March 25 when they head west taking on UC Davis.
