Women's Water Polo Dominates Utica 22-1

Utica , NY - Led by senior Diana Livermore's (Menlo Park, CA) four goals, the women's water polo team handed Utica a 22-1, loss this evening's match-up. The Bears dominated most of the match-up outscoring Utica 8-0,6-0,4-1, and 4-0 in the four quarters of play.

Sophomore Karlyanna Kopra (Kamuela, HI) was an all-around force for the Bears netting three goals and recording three steals on defense, while freshman Alexis Blaxberg (Miami, FL) recorded three goals in tonight's victory. Also scoring for Brown was sophomore Claire Angyal (Sydney, AUS) and freshmen Sade Bonilla (Berkeley, CA) and Ally Wyatt (ann Arbor, MI) each contributed two goals while sophomores Caitlin Fahey (Seattle, WA), Paige Lansing (Newport Beach, CA) and Elizabeth Balassone (Los Altos, CA), and freshman Roxanne Palmer (Los Alamitos, CA) rounding out the scoring for the Bears tallying a goal each.

Freshman Anne Deggelman (Menlo Park, CA) recorded three saves in net for Brown. Livermore also played well on the defensive end recording four steals for Brown.

The Bears will return to the pool Saturday, March 12, for a double header, taking on Hartwick and Queens at Utica. Brown will face Hartwick for a 2:15 PM match-up and close out the weekend against Queens at 5:45 PM.
