Women's Water Polo Falls To #11 UCSB 11-6

Santa Barbara, CA - The women's water polo team (1-4) fell to the eleventh ranked UCSB team 11-6 this afternoon. The Bears could not overcome a 6-3 halftime deficit in this afternoon's match-up.

Sophomore Karylanna Kopra led the Bears netting three goals and drawing two ejections. Sophomore Elizabeth Balassone got it done on both sides of the pool this afternoon as she recorded two goals and three steals. Rounding out the scoring for the Bears was junior Paige Lansing who recorded Brown's sixth goal.

Defensively sophomore Anne Deggelman had seven blocks in the cage while Caitlin Fahey posted three steals.

The Bears will open up the Gaucho Invitational tomorrow morning when they take on the #1 Trojans of USC at 9:00 a.m.
