2014 ACWPC Women's All-American Teams
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – For the third time in her career, Brown women's water polo senior Kate Woods (La Jolla, Calif.) was named an Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches Honorable Mention All-American, it was announced by the association office on Monday.
Brown's all-time leading scorer with 478 points, Woods capped her stellar career with nods to the Collegiate Water Polo Association All-Tournament team and a fourth-consecutive spot on the CWPA Southern Division First Team. A three-time CWPA Southern Division Player of the Week pick, Woods tied Brown's single-game scoring record with nine points against Harvard on April 2. She finished the 2014 season with 79 goals, 55 assists and 96 steals.
Woods started her Brown career in grand fashion, tying the program's single-season scoring record with 100 goals en route to earning ACWPC All-American and CWPA Southern Division Rookie of the Year accolades. A three-time ACWPC All-Academic Team honoree, Woods also landed on the 2013 Academic All-Ivy team.
