BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – For the second time this season, Brown women's water polo freshman Shannon Crowley (Orange County, Calif.) was named Collegiate Water Polo Association Southern Division Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the league office on Wednesday. Crowley was also dubbed Co-Rookie and Defensive Player of the Week on Feb. 4.
Crowley tossed in seven goals, grabbed two steals and drew an exclusion over four games last week, helping Brown go 2-2 and lock up the third seed in the CWPA Southern Division Championship. Her three-goal effort fueled a decisive 13-9 win over Ivy League rival Harvard on Wednesday.
Crowley and the rest of the squad wrap up regular season play tonight when they host Connecticut College at 7:30 p.m.
