The Bears came out tough early in the first quarter, with senior Katharine Booher (Palo Alto, CA) scoring the opening goal of the game to give the home team a 1-0 advantage over the visitors. Brown saw its lead on Michigan slowly slip away late in the first quarter however, and the Bears found themselves down 6-3 at the half. The home team fought back however, outscoring the visitors in the third quarter on goals by sophomore Madison Pepper (Baytown, TX) and junior Emily McNamara (Winters, CA), but the Wolverines were able to pull away in the fourth quarter to earn the victory.

Offensively, Brown was lead by Pepper, sophomore Liz Rosen (San Anselmo, CA) and McNamara, as each player found the back of the net on two different occasions. Pepper and Rosen also led the Bears defensively, with two steals and two field blocks each.  Junior Sarah Shin (Fullerton, CA) had 8 saves in the goal.

Brown will begin post-season play next weekend with the CWPA Southern Divisional Championships. The tournament, hosted by the Bears at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center, is set for Saturday, April 13th and Sunday, April 14th.
