San Jose State & Princeton Defeat Women’s Water Polo
Cambridge, MA- The Brown women's water polo team dropped a 13-6 game to San Jose State and fell 18-8 in a league game to Princeton in games hosted at Harvard on Sunday afternoon. The Bears are now 7-6 overall and 3-1 in league play.
Madison Pepper and Katharine Booher led Brown's offense with two goals apiece against San Jose State, while Gusty Clarke and Rebecca Zak added one each. Freshman goalkeeper Evan Cranston picked up three saves in three quarters, and Sarah Shin earned one saves in the final quarter.
Against the Tigers, Emily McNamara, Pepper and Brittany Westerman led the attack by each scoring two goals, followed by Clarke and Sarah Presant with one goal each. Cranston earned five saves in the cage in three quarters, while Shin tallied one in the fourth.
Brown is back in action on March 10-11 at the Marist Invite. The Bears will challenge Marist at 2:15 p.m. on March 10, and will then take on Michigan at 8:30 p.m.
