San Diego, Calif. - The No. 14 ranked San Diego State Aztecs defeated the No.20 Brown women's water polo team 10-5 at the Aztec Aquaplex this afternoon.
The Aztecs gained a 3-2 advantage after the first eight minutes of play, and went on to outscore Bruno 2-0 in the second to extend its lead to 5-2 at halftime. San Diego State continued its hot shooting into the third to outscore Brown 4-3 in the third and 1-0 in the fourth to earn a 10-5 victory.
Senior Sarah Glick (Bonita, CA) led Brown's attack today with two goals, while Rita Bullwinkel (Portola Valley, CA), Joanna Wohlmuth (Manhattan Beach, CA) and Avery Mosser (Mill Valley, CA) each scored one apiece. Stephanie Laing (Ann Arbor, MI) tallied 10 saves in net, as the Bears move to 17-8 on the year.
The Bears will now take on Cal Baptist at 5:00 p.m. PT.
