Jessie Cooper Named Ivy League Player of the Week

The Bears defeated Dartmouth, 3-0 on October 12 and Harvard, 3-2 on Saturday October 13. In the match against Dartmouth, Cooper recorded 20 kills on 31 attempts while making only three errors. She had a hitting percentage of .548 while registered six blocks versus the Big Green.

In the match versus Harvard, Cooper posted a League season-high of 29 kills, which is also a career high for her as well. She also made six blocks in the match against the Crimson.

Cooper currently leads the team with 248 kills (4.28 kpg), a .272 hitting percentage and 65 blocks. She needs just 152 more kills to crack into the top five at Brown for kills in a season and 91 more to crack into the top five for kills in a career. In addition, with 65 blocks on the season, she needs just 22 more to move into the top five for blocks in a season.

The Bears are 9-7 overall and return to action on Friday October 19 at Princeton.
