Kuchenbecker Named Ivy League Volleyball Player of the Week

Brown sophomore Karalyn Kuchenbecker, of Los Angeles, California, earned Player of the Week honors (week ending September 28) following her stellar play in four matches, including a 3-1 win over St. Peter's.
Kuchenbecker was the go-to player for the Bears on both offense and defense, including three double-doubles, in Brown's four matches. On the week, she led the Brown attack with 49 kills, was second on team with 52 digs, and pitched in a team high 5 service aces as well. Against URI, she led Brown with her second double-double of the year, notching 12 kills and 16 digs. She added 11 kills and 13 digs against UNH and notched 15 kills and a match-high 19 digs against St. Peter's with a .261 hitting percentage.
