Volleyball Cruises Past Harvard, 3-0

Cambridge, MA - The volleyball team (11-12, 8-4) dominated Harvard (3-20, 0-13) in an Ivy League match-up, this evening in Cambridge, MA sweeping the Crimson 3-0. Behind junior Rikki Baldwin's (Magnolia, TX) match high 18 kills, the Bears recorded 30-23, 30-26 and 30-20 wins, taking the season series from the Crimson.

Offensively senior Leigh Martin (Freelton, ONT) led a balanced attack for the Bears, spreading out her 51 assists all around the court. Senior Lauren Gibbs (Los Angeles, CA) tallied 13 kills, for a match high .600 hitting percentage. Sophomore Julie Mandolini-Trummel (Crystal Lake, IL) had another solid match up front for Brown, finishing the match with 13 kills.

Defensively, sophomore Katie Lapinski (Niles, IL) led the Bears with 12 digs, while sophomore Rachel Lipman (San Diego, CA) collected ten digs on the evening.

The Bears will wrap up their weekend road trip Saturday, November 13, when they travel to Dartmouth for a 4:00 PM match with the Big Green.
