Brown Drops Heartbreaker to Columbia

The Brown University Volleyball Team lost in conference action to Columbia in five games. Brown won the first game 30-27, then fell in the second and third games 30-19 and 30-28. The Bears then won the fourth game 30-27, but fell in the deciding game 15-12.
Brown senior Ceneca Calvert (Irvine, CA) recorded 19 kills and 15 digs adding one more double double to her season total. Freshman Karalyn Kuchenbecker (Los Angeles, CA) also had a double double with 18 kills and 11 digs.
Senior Jessie Cooper (Tustin, CA) accumulated 19 kills in the match as freshman Leigh Martin (Freelton, ONT) added 62 set assists and 12 digs. Sophomore Elvina Kung recorded 19 digs and junior Kim Highlund added 20 digs.
The Bears are now 7-12 overall and 3-4 in the Ivy League. They will host Harvard and Dartmouth this coming weekend in the Pizzitola Memorial Gym.
