With the win, the Bears improve to 10-9 overall and 5-2 in the Ivy League.
The Bears dominated the Big Red from the beginning, but it was in the third and final game where Brown clearly showed it was the better team. The Bears posted a .344 hitting percentage to Cornell's .029. Brown hustled throughout the match, making it clear that they are the team to beat.
Junior Angela Dunn (Katy, TX) led the way for the Bears, with 10 kills and 7 digs on the match. Dunn is coming off an impressive match last weekend, versus Princeton, and her play will become a key factor in Brown's success for the duration of the 2001 season. Sophomore Diane Schneider (Saratoga, CA) posted a game-high 11 kills. Kim Highlund (Newark, CA), once again got it done on the defensive end, recording 12 digs.
The Bears do not have long to rest, as the team will host Columbia on Saturday October 28 for a 4:00pm match.
