Brown Falls in Four

The Brown University Volleyball Team lost in four games in Ivy League action to the Pennsylvania Quakers. The Quakers took the first two games 30-24, 30-22. The Bears won the third game 30-28, but the Quakers battled back to win the fourth and deciding game 30-17.
The Bears are now 7-10 on the season and 3-2 in the Ivy League. Senior Jessie Cooper (Tustin, CA) recorded 17 kills and three block assists in the match. Senior Ceneca Calvert (Irvine, CA) accumulated her eighth double double on the year with 14 kills and 24 digs.
Freshman Karalyn Kuchenbecker (Los Angeles, CA) added nine kills and 16 digs. Junior Kim Highlund (Newark, CA) recorded 11 digs as both freshman Leigh Martin (Freelton, ONT) and sophomore Elvina Kung (Dix Hills, NY) added ten digs a piece. Martin also accumulated 47 set assists in the match.
The Bears go on the road next weekend to play at Cornell Friday October 25 at 7:00 p.m. and Columbia on Saturday the 26th at 4:00 p.m.
