Brown Volleyball Slams Dartmouth in Three Games

It was short and sweet when the Brown Volleyball team battled Dartmouth College on Friday night at Pizzitola Center. The Bears defeated the Big Green in three games, (30-24, 30-22, 30-13), and currently stand undefeated in Ivy League play.

The Bears came out in the first game with a clear agenda, to smother the Dartmouth defense. Brown totaled a .375 hitting % in game one, while Aneal Helms recorded a perfect 1.00% and five kills. Jessie Cooper posted a .500% with seven kills. The second game was more of the same, a continued onslaught by the Bear attack, as the team tallied a .444 %.

Bear totals included, Jessie Cooper's 20 kills and six blocks, and Elvina Kung's 10 kills and nine digs. Aneal Helms recorded a .818 hitting % on the night and Corre Myer posted 47 assists.

For Dartmouth (6-7), (1-2) Anna Jenkins recorded seven kills and five digs on the match. Chelsea Morgan posted 18 assists.

With the win, the Bears improve to 8-7, 3-0 and are back on the court on Saturday October 13, where the team will compete against the Harvard Crimson. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m.
