Brown Volleyball Announces Captains for the 2010 Season

Providence, RI – Head volleyball coach Diane Short recently announced that middle back Danielle Vaughan ’11 (Rancho Palos Verdes, CA) and setter Spencer McAndrews ’12 (Los Angeles, CA) will serve as the captains for the 2010 Brown squad. The duo will lead the Bears through a difficult schedule this fall, and will look to return Brown to the top of the Ivy League.

Brown Volleyball Announces Class of 2014
Providence, R.I. – The Brown volleyball team announced its Class of 2014 on Friday, as six talented players will join the promising nucleus already assembled in the Pizzitola Center. All six newcomers hail from California, and it is a group that head coach Diane Short believes, “will add offensive firepower to our team, while giving us more depth.”

Williamson Selected as Academic All-Ivy Honoree
Providence, RI- The Ivy League released its fall list of Academic All-Ivy honorees, with ten Brown student-athletes being recognized. The first males and five females were starters or key reserves on their respective varsity teams and carry a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average.

Yale Takes 3-0 Decision in Season Finale
The Brown volleyball squad wrapped up the 2009 season on Tuesday evening, as the visiting Yale Bulldogs stole a 3-0 win despite rookie Katrina Post's 12 kills and 16 defensive digs. With the loss, the Bears finish the season at 6-19 on the season, and 2-12 in league play, while Yale wraps up with a 21-4 overall mark, including 11-3 against Ivy opponents.
