Women's Cross-Country Place Seventh at 2002 Heptagonal Championships

Van Cortlandt Park, NY - The women's cross country team placed seventh out of nine teams at the 2002 Heptagonal Championships Friday afternoon. Senior Rosie Woodford placed first for Brown with an 18th overall finish. Woodford timed in at 18:19.9. Overall, the Bears had three runners place in the top 50 out of a field of 101. Columbia placed first with a team score of 29 while Yale and Cornell rounded out the top with scores of 92 and 99 respecticvely. Brown finished with a score of 171.

Sophomore Meredith Crocker finished second for Brown and 23rd overall with a time of 18:28.9. Freshman Nora Sullivan finished in the top 50, coming in 36th with a time of 18:43.0. Sophomore Julie Komosinski barely missed placing in the top 50 with a 51st finish. Komosinki timed in at 18:58.7.

Freshman Anna Willard placed 65th with a time of 19:07.0 Junior Kristin Ware placed 68 with a time of 19:11.0. Freshman Annie Hatch placed 78th with a time of 19:28.9. Freshman Jean Coleman placed 82nd with a time of 19:33.0. Junior Caroline Staudt placed 84th with a time of 19:35.0. Junior Caci Cambruzzi placed 86th with a time of 19:38.4 Freshman Anya Davidson placed 89th with a time of 19:49.9 Sophomore Emma Sarro placed 93rd with a time of 20:16.1
