Women's Track Begins Competition At Penn Relays

Philadelphia, PA - The Brown women's track team began competition at the annual Penn Relays in Philadelphia, PA on Thursday. The meet, the longest uninterrupted collegiate track meet in the country, will run through Sunday and will feature some 22,000 athletes from the high school and college level.

Freshman Nora Sullivan (Cambridge, MA) placed 15th out of 35 in the 3,000 meter run with a time of 9:48.91, the seventh best time in Brown history, on Thursday.

Brown will host its own Springtime Invitational on Sunday Apr. 27th as half the team remains in Providence to take part in the invite. The Bears will play host to 18 schools at the meet, which will take place at Brown Stadium. The women will compete first with the field events beginning at 11 a.m. while the men will begin competition at 2 p.m.
