Women's Track and Field Competes at Duke Invitational

Durham, NC- A limited women's track and field squad concluded their spring break trip at the Duke Invitational in North Carolina on April 3. Two league leading performances highlighted the meet.
Co-captain Julia Stevenson (Bowie, MD) ran a personal record in the 400m with a time of 55.83. Stevenson currently tops the Ivy League with that time. Junior Jill Lynch (Racine, WI) also has a top ranked performance from her shot put PR of 46'11". Lynch is also currently second in the league in the discus, with a throw of 131'.
Freshman Laura Dudek (West Warren, MA) had a great meet by setting a school record in the javelin throw at 145'. Jen Donahue '05 (Winter Park, FL) confirmed her previous 164 hammer throw with a toss of 160 at Duke.
Lauren Linder '04 (Atlanta, GA) had her outdoor season debut in the 100m with a time of 12.31, then came back in the 200m with a time of 25.47. Teammate Emily McElveen '04 ran to a time of 25.59. Freshman Naja Ferjan (Ljubljan, Slovenia) ran a 2:11 in her first outdoor 800m of the season.
Brown hosts ten teams on April 10 at the Brown Invitational as they prepare to host the Heptagonal Championships in one month.
