PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Brown University men's track & field team is currently in fifth place with 12 points after the first day of the Ivy League Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Penn's Franklin Field.
Senior Megan Ratcliffe (Carlisle, Mass.) turned in a third-place finish in the 10,000 meters as she crossed the finish line in a time of 34:55.35.
In the field, rookie Ijeoma Uche (Lawrenceville, Ga.) was fourth in the long jump with a leap of 19-6.75, while Rachel McMahon (New York, N.Y.) also added points as she claimed fifth place at 19-4.75.
Back on the track, May Stern (Providence, R.I.) secured a spot in the finals of the 400 meters as she placed fourth in the preliminaries at 54.66.
Senior Carly Paul (Fort Collins, Colo.) is currently in first place in the heptathlon after four events with 3,235 points, highlighted by win in the high jump with a cleared height of 5-9.75.
The Bears wrap up the Ivy Heptagonal Championships on Sunday in Philadelphia.
