2008 Cross Country: Baker finished 18th at the New England Championships, running 19:18 for 5k, contributing to the women's sub-varsity team's 2nd place finish.
2009 Indoors: Baker ran a personal best 10:12.61 (3k) at Yale's Giegengack Invitational, winning her heat and placing tenth overall. Baker also represented the Bears in the 3k at the 2009 Ivy League Indoor Championships.

High School: In her senior year competing for Redondo Union High School ('07-'08), Baker ran personal bests in cross country and outdoor track ... These include 18:57 over a 3 mile cross country course, 5:22 in the mile, and 11:39 in the 3200m ... In cross country, her top finishes include placing 8th in Div. 2 at the Mt. SAC Invitational and 13th at Bay League finals ... Outdoors, she finished 2nd in the Bay League in the 3200m and advanced to the CIF Southern Section prelims for the first time ... Four-time varsity competitor/two-time captain of RUHS Cross Country and Track & Field teams, 2007 Cross Country MVP, 2007-2008 editor-in-chief of the High Tide student newspaper, president of RUHS Amnesty International, 2007 California Girls State representative, AP Scholar with Distinction.

Personal:  In her first year at Brown, Baker has developed an interest in public education reform and hopes to return to the Los Angeles area after graduating to pursue a career in the field ... As a non-recruited athlete, Baker's greatest collegiate honor has been the opportunity to compete for the Bears ... She is the daughter of Laurie Baker, and has two sisters, Jessica and Brittany.
