Eugene, OR- Senior Danielle Grunloh rounded out the competition for the Brown University track & field team at the Division I NCAA Championships. Her throw of 50-10.75 placed her 21st in the shot put, as she was one of five members of the team to be competing at National level this week.
Grunloh arrived in Eugene after finishing eighth in the shot put at the NCAA Championship East Preliminary Round with a throw reaching 52-10. She capped off an incredible career at Brown where she established herself as one of the top female throwers to ever compete in the Ivy League.
Grunloh earned First Team All-Ivy honors in the shot put at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championship after her 53-03.75 throw broke set a new meet record. She went on to earn the shot put title at the ECAC Championship to help guide the Bears to a third-place finish in the 49-team field, and was also the runner-up in the discus throw with a mark of 157-05. For her peformances, she was named USTFCCCA Division I Northeast Region Field Athlete of the Year.
