Women’s Track & Field Earns All-Ivy Honors

Providence, RI- After solid performances at the 2010 Ivy League Indoor Track & Field Heptagonal Championship last weekend, Brown’s Danielle Grunloh (Effingham, IL), Ariel Wright (Oakland, CA) and Bryn Smith (Saco, ME) received All-Ivy recognition. The top League performers in each individual event and the top team in each relay event earn selection to the All-Ivy League track & field first team. The second Ivy finishers earn second team honors.

Grunloh had an outstanding performance for the Bears in the shot put, earning the title with a 15.48m throw to garner First Team All-Ivy honors. Earning second team honors was Smith with a second place shot put toss of 15.21m.

Also earning Second Team All-Ivy honors was Wright, who earned second place in the 5,000m run with a 14-second personal record and NCAA provisional qualifying time of 16:35.98.
