Ames Named Second Team All-Ivy in Singles

PROVIDENCE, RI - Junior Daisy Ames (Atlanta, GA) of the women's tennis team has been named to the 2006 All-Ivy Second Team for singles as selected by the league's eight head coaches.

One of five players named to the Second Team, Ames played exclusively at #1 singles, posting an 11-20 overall record with a 2-5 mark in the Ivy League. Included in her Ivy wins was a victory over Yulia Rivelis of Penn, who was named First Team All-Ivy. She also defeated Rivelis at the ITA Regional Tournament during the fall season, picking up her first victory over a ranked player.
