PROVIDENCE, RI - Sophomore Victoria Beck (Wellington, New Zealand) and freshman Alex Arlak (Leonia, NJ) of the women's tennis team have been named to the 2002 All-Ivy Second Team for doubles as selected by the league's eight head coaches.
One of three doubles teams named to the Second Team, Beck and Arlak teamed up at #1 doubles and accumulated a 10-9 overall record with a 3-4 mark in the Ivy League. Beck also plays #1 and #2 singles, while Arlak competes at the #3 position.
One of six sophomores to earn All-Ivy recognition, Beck is making her first appearance on an All-Ivy team, while Arlak, also making her first appearance on an All-Ivy team, is one of four freshmen to be recognized.
The Bears finished the 2001-2002 season with a 13-6 record and a 3-4 mark in the Ivy League.
