Women's Tennis Defeats Cornell, 4-3

The women's tennis team improved to 12-4 and 2-2 in the Ivy League with a 4-3 win over Cornell on Friday afternoon in Ithaca. The Bears won all three doubles matches, taking the doubles point, and never looked back.

Sophomore Victoria Beck (Wellington, New Zealand) led the Bears, winning the deciding match at #2 singles (3-6, 7-6 (3), 6-2). She combined with freshman Alex Arlak (Leonia, NJ) for an 8-5 win at #1 doubles.

Sophomore Priscilla Zeff (Des Moines, IA) and junior Olivia Wong (Belmont, MA) combined for an 8-5 win at #2, while freshman Kerry Meath (St. Paul, MN) and junior Caroline Casey (Atlanta, GA) took an 8-5 win at #3.

Meath also won at #4 singles (6-4, 3-6, 6-3), while Wong was victorious at #6 (2-6, 6-0, 6-4).

Brown continues action on Saturday, April 13, when it competes at Columbia.
