Bears Fall to #42 Penn, 6-1

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown women's tennis team (4-10, 0-2) dropped a 6-1 decision to #42 Penn on Saturday afternoon at the Pizzitola Center courts. Brown posted two wins on the day, one in doubles and one in singles, and also had two matches go to three sets.

In doubles action, juniors Amanda Saiontz (Miami, FL) and Michelle Pautler (Kamuela, HI) posted the Bears' lone win, earning an 8-6 victory at #3 doubles.

In singles action, junior Daisy Ames (Atlanta, GA) picked up a 7-6 (5), 7-5 victory for Brown's point. Sophomore Ashley Pariser (Alexandria, VA) won her first set at #3 singles (6-7 (6)), but fell in the next two, while freshman Brett Finkelstein (North Caldwell, NJ) won her second set at #5 singles, 6-4.

The Bears will look to rebound this Friday, April 14th, when they travel to Cornell for a 2:00 p.m. match.
