Bears Fall to Princeton, 6-1, in Ivy opener

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown women's tennis team (4-9, 0-1) opened its 2006 Ivy schedule on Friday afternoon and fell to Princeton, 6-1, at the Pizzitola Center courts. Junior Amanda Saiontz (Miami, FL) picked up the lone win for the Bears, earning a 6-2, 6-3 victory at #2 singles.

Junior Daisy Ames (Atlanta, GA) was the only Brown player to force three sets, but after winning the first set, 6-2, she fell in the second set, 7-6 (7), and in the third, 7-5.

The Bears continue action on Saturday, April 8, when they host #42 Penn at 12:00 noon.
