Princeton Edges Bears, 4-3

April 4, 2008

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown women's tennis team (9-6, 0-2) split the six singles matches with Princeton, 3-3, but the Tigers had won the doubles point to start the match with wins at #2 and #3 to edge the Bears, 4-3, on Friday afternoon. The match, played inside due to rain, took six hours to complete and featured four three-set matches in the middle of the singles lineup as the match came down to the wire and could have gone either way. The Bears were up in the third set at both #2 and #3 singles, but the Tigers were able to come back to win both of those sets and post the narrow victory.
