Bears Fall to #51 Long Beach State

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown women's tennis team (5-9) played its final non-league match of the season on Tuesday afternoon and fell to #51 Long Beach State, 5-2. The Bears dropped all three doubles matches, but then won at #1 and #2 singles to go up, 2-1. However, the 49ers were able to post wins at the bottom four singles positions to earn the victory. Highlighting the afternoon was senior Michelle Pautler's (Kamuela, HI) win at #1 singles, where she beat #119 Hannah Grady, 1-6, 6-4, 6-1.
