Bears Narrowly Fall to Yale, 4-3, in Ivy Opener

NEW HAVEN, CT - The Brown women's tennis team (9-5, 0-1) saw its eight-match winning streak come to an end on Sunday afternoon, falling to Yale, 4-3, in the Ivy opener for both teams. The Bears won the doubles point with wins at #1 and #3, but couldn't carry the momentum into singles action, where the Bulldogs were able to get four wins to earn the victory. Brown got singles wins from freshman Bianca Aboubakare (Orange, CA) at #1 and sophomore Tanja Vucetic (Aventura, FL) at #4. The match came down to the wire at #5, where freshman Marisa Schonfeld (Washington, DC) dropped a three-set match as Yale claimed the 4-3 win.
