Bears Stretch Winning Streak to Eight with 6-1 Win over Army.

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown women's tennis team (9-4) picked up its eighth straight victory on Friday evening, posting a 6-1 win over Army (16-5) at the Pizzitola Center Courts. The Black Knights had also come into the match riding a winning streak of their own, which began on March 2nd and stretched for eight matches until tonight. Brown breezed through the doubles matches, winning at #1 and #2 by identical scores of 8-3 and then winning at #3, 8-1. The Bears then won five of the six singles matches to close out the victory, including a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at #5 by freshman Marisa Schonfeld.
