Bears Fall to Long Beach State, 6-1, in First Spring Break Match

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown women's tennis team (5-4) dropped its first match of spring break, falling to Long Beach State (9-6), 6-1, in Long Beach, CA. Freshman Ashley Pariser (Alexandria, VA) picked up Brown's lone point, winning at #6 singles.
The 49ers earned the doubles point winning at all three positions to take a 1-0 lead in the match heading into singles action. Brown dropped the first three positions in straight sets, but put up a good fight in the bottom three spots, losing at #4 and #5 in three sets, before Pariser won at #6 in three sets, 6-2, 3-6, 10-6.
Brown continues action on Tuesday, March 29th, when they play at UC Riverside.
