Women's Tennis Wins Fourth Straight, Defeating Cal Poly SLO, 5-2

The women's tennis team improved to 10-4 on the season with a 5-2 victory over Cal Poly San Luis Obispo on Monday, March 24. Brown was led by sophomore Kerry Meath (St. Paul, MN), who won at #2 singles and combined with sophomore Alex Arlak (Leonia, NJ) for a victory at #1 doubles.

Led by Arlak and Meath, who won at #1 doubles, 9-7, the Bears claimed the doubles point as junior Victoria Beck (Wellington, New Zealand) and freshman Stephanie Falconi (New York, NY) earned a 9-7 win at #2 doubles.

In singles action, Meath led the way with a win at #2 (6-3, 5-7, 10-6), while Beck earned a win at #3 in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. Freshman Kimberly Singer (Newport Beach, CA) picked up a victory at #5, 6-1, 6-2, and Falconi rounded out the competition at #6, winning 6-2, 6-1.

Brown continues action on Wednesday, March 26, taking on Boise State at 1:00 p.m. in Newport Beach, CA.
