Bears Win Sixth Straight, 7-0 over West Virginia

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown women's tennis team (7-4) won its sixth straight match on Sunday afternoon, picking up a 7-0 win over West Virginia at the Pizzitola Center Courts. The Bears won the doubles point with victories at #1 and #3 and then earned four of the six singles matches in straight sets to claim the shutout. Brown's three-set wins came at #2 where junior Sara Mansur (Houston, TX) won 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, coming back from a 4-1 deficit in the first set, and at #6 where freshman Ashley Butler (Charlotte, NC) earned a 6-7 (5), 6-2, (11-9) win.
