Women's Tennis Improves To 5-1 With 5-2 Win Over Rutgers

Brown won all but one doubles match and two singles matches, en route to a 5-2 win over Rutgers on Sunday afternoon. Freshman Alex Arlak and junior Caroline Casey led the way for the Bears as they each won their respectful singles and doubles matches.

Arlak won at #3 singles, 6-4, 6-3, and picked up a victory at the #1 doubles spot with sophomore Victoria Beck, 9-7. Casey won at #5 singles, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2, and also won at #3 doubles, 8-6, with freshman Kerry Meath.

In other singles action, freshman Adriana Marianella picked up a victory at #2 singles, 6-2, 6-2, while junior Olivia Wong won at #6, 6-2. 6-3.

Brown continues action on Wednesday, March 6, when they host Charleston Southern in a 2:00 p.m. match.
