Women's Tennis Hands Seton Hall 7-0 Loss, Improves to 6-2 on the Season

PROVIDENCE, RI - The women's tennis team improved to 6-2 on the season with a 7-0 victory over Seton Hall on Sunday afternoon in the Pizzitola Center. The Bears won every match on the day in commanding fashion, winning all six singles matches in straight sets.
Brown started the day winning the doubles point, taking all three doubles matches. Sophomores Kerry Meath (St. Paul, MN) and Alex Arlak (Leonia, NJ) won at #1, 8-3, junior Victoria Beck (Wellington, New Zealand) and freshman Kimberly Singer (Newport Beach, CA) at #2, 8-1, and freshmen Stephanie Falconi (New York, NY) and Yelena Klurfeld (Brooklyn, NY) at #3, 8-3.
In singles action, Klurfeld won the closest match of the day at #1 (7-5, 7-6 (4)), while Arlak won at #2, (6-2,7-5). Falconi did not lose a point in her entire match, winning 6-0, 6-0 at #3, while Singer won at #4, 6-2, 6-1. Junior Bridget Barbera (Pelham, NY) won at #5, 6-0, 6-2, and senior Caroline Casey (Atlanta, GA) won at #6, 6-3, 6-0.
The Bears continue action next Saturday, March 8, at Old Dominion in a 1:00 p.m. match.
