#75 Women's Tennis Wins Fourth Straight, Defeating Rutgers, 5-2

The Brown women's tennis team (4-2) won its fourth straight contest, defeating Rutgers, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon.

Sophomore Stephanie Falconi (New York, NY) and junior Kerry Meath (St. Paul, MN) led the way for Brown with a win at #1 doubles (8-6), and wins at their respective singles spots. Falconi won at #1 singles (6-4, 6-2), while Meath won at #4 singles (6-0, 6-1).

The Bears also won at #2, #3, and #5 singles for the 5-2 win. Junior Alex Arlak (Leonia, NJ) won at #2 (6-2, 6-2), freshman Amanda Saiontz (Miami, FL) won at #3 (6-4, 6-4), and freshman Michelle Pautler (Kamuela, HI) won at #5 (7-5, 6-0).

The Bears continue action on Saturday, March 14, when they host Alabama-Birmingham at 1:00 p.m.
