Bears Fall to #38 Sacramento State, 5-2

PROVIDENCE, RI - The Brown women's tennis team (2-2) dropped a 5-2 decision to visiting Sacramento State, which is ranked 38th in the country. Brown picked up one doubles win and two singles wins along the way.

Winning in doubles action was the freshman dup of Sara Mansur (Houston, TX) and Brett Finkelstein (North Caldwell, NJ), who posted an 8-6 win at #3 doubles.

In singles action, Brown dropped the top four matches, but junior Kara Zeder (Miami, FL) earned a 6-3, 2-6, 10-3 win at #5 and sophomore Kelley Kirkpatrick (Villanova, PA) posted a 6-2, 6-4 win at #6.

Brown continues action on Saturday, February 18th, when it hosts Boston University at 12:00 noon
