Women’s Tennis Falls to San Diego, 6-1


SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Brown women's tennis team was defeated by San Diego, 6-1, at the Skip and Cindy Hogan Tennis Center on Saturday. The Toreros claimed the doubles point and added five wins in singles play.

San Diego won third and second doubles, both by a score of 6-1, to win the doubles point.

The Toreros went on to win the first four singles matches, third, fourth, first and fifth before sophomore Taylor Cosme (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) recorded a Brown victory in sixth singles with a 6-3, 7-6 (4) showing. San Diego finished singles play with a win in the second spot.

Brown will wrap up its stay in California tomorrow (March 5) and face San Diego State for a 1:00 p.m. PT match.
