
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Brown women's tennis team wrapped up its 2014 season with a hard fought 4-3 defeat at the hands of Yale on Saturday at the Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center. The Bears finish the season at 13-10 overall and 2-5 in Ivy play while Yale improves to 14-8 (6-1 Ivy).
After Yale claimed the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead, Dayna Lord and Hannah Camhi responded with victories in the top-two singles slots. Lord defeated Hanna Yu, 6-3, 6-4 before Camhi cruised past Madeleine Hamilton, 6-1, 6-1.
Yale grabbed three of the final four singles matches to clinch the victory as Nikita Uberoi, Sarah Kandath, and Ashley Noyes all dropped contests to their Yale counterparts. Ammu Mandalap scored the third Brown victory of the day, as she edged Sherry Li, 7-5, 6-4.
