Women's Tennis Places Fourth at ECAC Indoor Championships

NEW YORK – The Princeton Tigers claimed a key No. 1 singles victory en route to a 4-2 win over the Brown women's tennis team in the third-place game of the ECAC Indoor Championships on Sunday.

 

The Bears started strong as they claimed the lone doubles point in the match as Dayna Lord/Hannah Camhi downed Lindsay Graff/Dorothy Tang, 6-2.  The duo of Ashley Noyes and Ammu Mandalap secured the doubles victory for Brown with a 6-1 win over Katherine Flanigan/Emily Hahn.

 

The Tigers claimed the first four singles matches as Graff rebounded to defeat Lord, 6-4, 6-3 before Nikita Uberoi was edged by No. 62 Alanna Wolff, 6-1, 6-3 in No. 3 singles.

 

Noyes claimed Brown's long singles victory on the day, a 6-2, 6-2 triumph over Flanigan in the No. 6 singles match.

 

The Bears return to action with a tilt at Boston University on Saturday before entertaining Stony Brook at the Pizzitola Sports Center on Sunday.
