CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The duo of Dayna Lord (Bloomfield, Conn.) and Hannah Camhi (Woodbury, N.Y.) went a perfect 3-0 in doubles play at the Harvard Invitational held at the Murr Center this past weekend.
Camhi and Lord combined for three victories over doubles from Illinois, Harvard, and Boston University by scores of 8-5, 8-2, and 8-3 respectively.
Lord also scored three victories in singles play, defeating Lauren Davis of Boston University, 6-2, 6-0, Jerricka Boone of Illinois, 6-0, 6-2, before defeating Ivy League foe Spencer Liang, 6-1, 6-3. Lord has started her career 13-1 in singles action to lead the Bears in 2013.
Nikita Uberoi (Boca Raton, Fla.), Ammu Mandalap (Princeton Junction, N.J.), Mariska Chamdani (Santa Clara, Calif.), and Victoria Traynor (Osprey, Fla.) also competed in singles play during the weekend. Uberoi and Chamdani split their two matches while Traynor took two out of three matches, including two wins over Boston University.
Ashley Noyes (Marblehead, Mass.) and Uberoi went 1-2 last weekend in doubles action, scoring their victory over Emily Barretta and Julia Jamieson of Illinois, 8-2.
The Bears will resume their 2013-14 season in the new year when they host Boston College on January 24.
