Lord Highlights Women's Tennis at the ITA Northeast Regionals


CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Freshman Dayna Lord (Bloomfield, Conn.) scored four victories before falling in the semifinal round at the 2013 ITA Regionals held at Harvard University on Tuesday.  Lord had boasted a 10 match winning streak to start off her collegiate career entering the semifinal round.

The freshman was defeated by the eventual champion, Kanika Vaidya of Columbia, 6-3, 6-4.

The duo of Hannah Camhi (Woodbury, N.Y.) and Lord advanced to the quarterfinal round with victories over doubles from Albany, Harvard, and Quinnipiac.  The pair of Madeleine Hamilton and Annie Sullivan of Yale bested Camhi/Lord by a score of 8-4 of the quarterfinals.
Camhi performed well in singles play, tallying two victories before falling to Monica Lin of Harvard in the Round of 32.

The Bears finish out its fall schedule at the Harvard Invitational on Nov. 8-10.
