Women’s Tennis Falls to #9 Miami, 6-1

CORAL GABLES, FL – The Brown women's tennis team (5-7) dropped a 6-1 decision to #9 Miami (11-3) on Wednesday afternoon in its first of two matches over spring break. Hightlighting the match was a win at #2 singles by freshman Hannah Camhi (Syosset, NY), who defeated #73 Kelsey Laurente in three sets, 2-6, 6-0, 6-2.

The Hurricanes opened the match by winning all three doubles matches, posting victories at #1, 8-6, #2, 8-1, and #3, 8-3. Miami claimed the first three singles matches to clinch the match with wins at #3, #4, and #5. Camhi then got the Bears on the board with her victory at #2, but the Hurricanes went ahead, 5-1, with a win at #1. Freshman Olivia Hsu () played a tough match at #6, ultimately falling in a tiebreaker, 7-5, 0-6, 1-0 (10-5).
