#63 Brown Women’s Tennis Falls to #53 Missouri, 4-0

Ann Arbor, MI – The 63rd-ranked Brown women's tennis team (0-2) faced #53 Missouri (2-1) in the consolation match of the ITA Kickoff Weekend, hosted by Michigan, and fell to the Tigers, 4-0. The Bears picked up a win at #3 doubles and then were also leading matches at #2 and #3 singles when Missouri earned the fourth and deciding point to take the 4-0 win.

Brown's lone victory was an 8-4 win at #3 doubles by the team of sophomores Sarah Kandath (Gansevoort, NY) and Nikita Uberoi (Boca Raton, FL), who defeated Missouri's Alex Clark and Madison Rhymer. The doubles point came down to #1 doubles, where senior Misia Krasowski (Deerfield, IL) and freshman Hannah Camhi (Syosset, NY) put up a strong battle against the #26-ranked team in the nation, but ultimately fell in a tie-breaker, 8-7 (5).

In singles action, the Tigers earned wins at #4, #6, and then at #1 to clinch the victory. Camhi was leading her match at #2 singles, 3-6, 6-2, 4-1 40-15, while junior Jessica Harrow (La Crescenta, CA) was leading her match at #3 singles, 3-6, 7-5, 2-0, when the 4-0 decision was reached. Uberoi was also unable to finish her match, at #5, splitting the first two sets, 2-6, 6-1, before trailing in the third, 3-5, when the match was called.
